![]() The Vedas are a large body of the oldest religious literature learned orally in Vedic Sanskrit that originated in the land of Bharatavarsha (approximately 5000 years back). The Veda, meaning knowledge of Sanatana Dharma Sahitya is thus the religious stamp of Hinduism. Since the term Hindu/Hinduism is used extensively, a brief note on why and how the term Hindu came into existence is explained in the following paragraph.
